DUSK EVENT, 2009-2010-

Drawing and Mini Dv video, multiple channel
Dimensions and running time: variable

Dusk Event is a work in progress.
Simultainiously with the the fading out of natural light at dusk in our urban environments, the artificial lights fade in, creating a cross fade effect where the darkness never takes place. One of the starting points with the Dusk Events is to examine a counter perspective to this everyday scenery and visually represent what it would look like if the lights wouldn’t blend out the approaching darkness. It can be percieve as a cartographic study of our urban scotofobia. I started this project in november 2009 as part of my artistic investigation of the use of artificial lighting in our everyday urban environments and architectural landscape.
